Food R&D- Food Technologist

Solato is looking for a passionate and highly skilled, and highly motivated Food R&D Technologist to join our R&D team.As a Food R&D technologist, you will lead the development of new delicious products with a broad perspective on the product in terms of machine performance, shelf life, production processes, and regulation.
This role involves hands-on work, together with theoretical work and analysis of raw materials, their properties, and analysis of the final product in all its aspects.
Responsibilities:
1. Improve existing products, develop new products and integrate new raw materials.
2. Managing samples, shelf-life studies, sensory panels, analyzing test results, and implementing corrective actions.
3. Lead projects for improving and optimizing existing packaging and innovation projects of new packaging from concept to launch.
4. Ensure that the company's products comply with relevant food safety and quality regulations.
5. Manage regulatory processes, product labeling, and technical documentation.
6. Stay updated on industry regulations and standards.
7. Collaborate with regulatory bodies to conduct ongoing product tests and maintain compliance.
8. Lead an ongoing process of product testing with internal labs and other regulatory bodies.
9. Collaborate with internal work team and external partners in Israel, USA and the EU.
Qualifications:
1. B.Sc. in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or Food Science – mandatory.
2. Proven experience in food product development.
3. Knowledge in food safety and quality assurance.
4. Knowledge of food regulations and industry standards, and self-learning of new regulations.
5. knowledge in food microbiology.
6. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Creativity, open-minded, and a proactive mindset.
8. Independence, assertiveness, and responsibility.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
10. Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
11. Work in a multidisciplinary environment.
12. High proficiency in the English language.
