Supply Chain Manager - New Jersey

SOLATO is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead and develop a team to oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products. This role will be responsible to build efficiencies, streamline processes, and manage key priorities that are critical to the development of the Solato products. This SCM team focuses on North America while collaborating with and supporting the global teams. This position offers the opportunity to grow with the company over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage supply chain team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their professional development and effective execution of responsibilities.
Finding and managing co-packers includes determining the specific requirements, Conducting research to identify potential co-packers that align with your requirements, negotiating contract terms and conditions, and Continuously managing the co-packer relationship by reviewing performance against agreed-upon metrics.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, and other factors. Negotiate contracts and establish strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns, and implement appropriate inventory control measures to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and avoid stockouts or overstocks.
Demand forecasting and planning: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to forecast demand, develop production plans, and ensure availability of products to meet customer needs while minimizing excess inventory.
Logistics and transportation: Coordinate the movement of goods from suppliers to customers, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Optimize logistics processes to reduce lead times, lower transportation costs, and improve overall efficiency.
Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain. Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to proactively address potential challenges.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the supply chain. Analyze data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

LOCATION
This role is in-person and based out of our Northvale, NJ office.

Must-have skills and competencies to be considered:

Leader with knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems
3+ years of professional experience working in a manufacturing or a supply chain environment (including one or more of the following: planning and fulfillment, sourcing and procurement, manufacturing, new product introduction, forecasting/demand planning or inventory planning)
Bachelors Degree or B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering or a related field
Proficiency with MS Office suite of applications
Experience working in an entrepreneurial dynamic environment
Proactive and resourceful self-starter, a highly motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and maximum cooperation
Team player, able to work alongside several internal teams, and believes in and thrives in a Team-Focused environment
Ability to prioritize multiple projects with ease, manage deadlines, coordinate key timelines, perform under pressure with strong attention to detail and an ability to stay organized
Leader to be responsible for the ongoing Solato production process; to ensure policy compliance and the on-time delivery of quality products
Implementation and improvement of all operating procedures
Ability to plan, implement, and grow our overall supply chain and logistics capabilities
An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and natural curiosity
Excellent organization and time-management skills
